Child's First Birthday Party

by Rae Ann
(Gardner Mass)

This is lil man Tyler

This is lil man Tyler

My son Tyler's 1st Birthday is in march and we have about 50 friends and family who want to share in this event.

I am looking for a theme that is cute and simple for a 1 yr old.

There will be some children there ranging in age from 1-14.

Should I make loot bags? Tyler has a rubber duck collection and his grandpa loves corvetts. Should I stay geared to my lil man or a big boy theme like cars or trains?

I need help and well, daddy isn't good at this. It is my boyfriends 1st baby. I have 3 kids from a previous marriage, but we had small family parties. Please help!!!!

Don't forget Sesame Street!
by: Susan

And of course, don't forget Sesame Street!

It can be a hit for people of any age. And with the Rubber Duckies - you can do a great sing-along.

Fill a toy bathtub with ice for the drinks, make "soap bars" (rice crispies treats covered in white chocolate) and have a duck race in a kiddie pool.

You can get rubber duckies with birthday hats even to give as favors.

Getting excited just thinking about it!

How Bout A Barnyard Party

I threw my son a Barnyard Party and it was a huge hit. That would be perfect theme for Tyler's rubber duck collection.

Tyler's First Birthday Party
by: Grandpa Mike

Rae Ann:

Your lil man Tyler is a very precious looking little boy and I'm sure his first birthday party is going to be one that everyone will remember for years to come.

50 is a large party so plan on having a lot of cake and ice cream on hand. It also sounds like you'll need some easy snacks for those hungry teens that will be attending.

We suggest that you go with something you already have. Tylers rubber duck collection is a perfect start -- so how about a "Baby Duckie" theme.

You can easily put together a cake that everyone will love (be sure and take pictures) and you don't even have to bake (there's a time saver).

Cake pans make it easy to put together a fun cake. Here's a cake pan that's perfect for your theme - take a look at this Ducky Cake Pan and you'll see how wonderful your cake will be.

And here are absolutely all the Baby Ducky party supplies you'll need.

Now be sure to put together some fun games and activities and take lots of pictures.

Have fun
