Fun Kid Birthday Party Crafts

Kid birthday party crafts are one of the best ways to keep everyone happy and busy at your child's birthday party.

Paper Bag Puppets

One great idea is to have them create paper bag puppets to use as favor bags.

Holding their bag upside down, let them add colored yarn hair, silly eyes and a silly mouth. They can even give their puppet ears.

When each child has completed their kid birthday craft favor bag puppet, you can take the bags into another room, fill them with party favors, seal their bag with a piece of colored yard around the top of the bag.

Now place their favor bag inside a larger "take home" bag.

Name Tag Craft Idea

Another fun craft is to let then design their own name tags. These can be theme related, for instance, if you're having a Disney Princess party, the tag might say "Her Royal Magesty, Princess Amanda", or "Her Royal Highness, Princess Scarlett."

Your party guests can make a silly face on a white paper plate.

Have them cut odd shapes out of construction paper to use as eyes, different lengths of colored yarn for hair, silly noses, funny teeth and even funny ears.

For this kid craft idea, have your guests cut odd shaped holes for the eyes. Then they can use colored yarn for hair, use white construction paper for silly teeth and you have a very creative mask.

Pick up several pairs of old knit gloves, then cut off the fingers. For this craft idea for kids you'll be letting then each decorate a finger.

Your guests can glue eyes, nose, mouth, yarn hair, silly ears or who knows, to create a very creative and funny finger puppet.

After your guests complete their finger puppets, try having then put on a short finger puppet play!
