Step 2: Shape the cake Cut two of the mini Swiss rolls in half, on a diagonal. Position these on the near side of the cake as legs. Use the third Swiss roll for the neck. Unwrap the fairy cakes sandwich them together using buttercream, and position them as the head.
Step 3: Buttercream Cover the whole cake in buttercream using a pallette knife.
Step 4: Chocolate buttons Press your colored chocolate buttons gently into the buttercream. We're using orange and pink chocolate buttons, available from good sugarcraft suppliers, but your could equally use smarties or other colored sweets to your own design.
