Wild Adventure Games

You can have a lot of fun with a few simple games.

Guess How Many Animal Cookies

Put a bunch of Animal Cookies in a jar. Write down the number of cookies that are in the drawer and hide that information somewhere so you can find it later.

Now get a piece of safari paper and write each child's name.

Now when each child first arrives, have them write how many animal crackers they think are in the jar.

After everyone has made a guess, look over the list and determine who's guess was closest to the actual number of animal cookies in the jar. Now pick up the jar and announce the winner.

The one with with the best guess gets all the animal cookies. You can take the out of the jar and put them in a brown paper "safari bag."

What Am I?

Tape a picture of an animal on everyone's back. Then have each child go around asking questions like "Do I have a long neck?", "Do I have stripes?" or "Do I roar?"

Questions can only be answered with a "yes" or "no".

The first one who guesses what animal they are is the winner.

Pin The Tail on the Zebra

Or the Monkey, or the tiger or ? Just cut out a picture of an animal and create a bunch of tales.

Musical Jungles

Write the name of a jungle on a piece of paper. Amazon Jungle, African Jungle, Peruvian Jungle, The Rain Forrest, and others. Then place a "jungle" on the seat of 4 or 5 chairs. You should have one less chair than guests playing the game.

Start your "jungle music". You can use this fun Hatari! [SOUNDTRACK] that includes lots of safari music kids will love.

Everyone goes around the chairs until you stop the music, then everyone sits down. The one left standing is out.

Now remove one chair and start your music again. Then stop your music. You keep doing this until you have only one chair left and two players.

Now when you stop the music, the player in the chair is the winner.
