Print Out A Story

It's easy, it's fun and here's how the silliness works.

Each story is filled with blank lines like this ______________ followed by a word that tells you what to write in the blank.

A silly example

Princess _________________ (month of the year) ________________ (musical instrument)

was looking over the castle ______________ (cooking appliance)

When she saw a ___________________ (shape) dragon that was

walking over the ______________________ (adjective) drawbridge.

So your silly story might look like this

Princess March trombone was looking over the castle toaster when she

saw a triangle dragon walking over the smelly drawbridge.

What are they?

Be Outrageous

You'll have the most fun ever if you really get crazy with your story.

Notice the example above where the story reads "Princess March Trombone" - do you know anyone with a more outrageous name?

Picture the phrase "Xylophone pants", "purple mac and cheese" or "bold nostrils". Not something you hear everyday--but lots of creative fun--and great for young imaginations.

Imagine the fun, coming up with the wildest stories they can dream up--and kids are great at it!

A Birthday Party Activity

Have each child fill in the blanks, then read their story so everyone can laugh themselves silly.
